Took this from my driveway one evening in early May of 2011 (you can see the corner of my metal-roofed carport at the top). This was shot with my Nikon D1 with a 28-70mm f3.5-5. The D1 is a notoriously noisy camera and I really struggle with any kind of extended exposure; so I just set the exposure to 1-second and took continuous shots. The activity was pretty high this particular evening – I only took 30 frames before the storm got close enough to scare me and shut me down for the night.
